Free from Depression and Forgiveness

To overcome and be free from depression, a Christian needs to forgive others and get rid of any bitterness.

Matt 18:35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Refusing to forgive is a sin. If we receive forgiveness from God, we must give it to others who hurt us. We cannot hold grudges or seek revenge. We are to trust God for justice and forgive the person who offended us.

That does not mean we must forget the offense, however, usually that’s beyond our power.

An unforgiving, vengeful, or bitter spirit will not only affect you and those around you, it will separate you from the blessing of God. Therefore you must forgive others no matter what the offense.

Act of the will, not from your emotions, forgiveness is not a feeling.

Demons do not want us to forgive, and they will bring thought to us — self pity, anger, hurt feelings, blaming others etc. to make sure you do not line up to the scripture and forgive people who have hurt us.
We have all been hurt, all of us, have felt deep hurt …

When we forgive, we release grace, if we don’t forgive, it becomes a bondage (it hangs around our neck). When we forgive we break the bondage, and we get free from the anger, hurt feelings, and the memories will fade from our subconscious.

God does not want us not to be in bondage to unforgiveness, He wants us free from all bondage’s, because He loves us.

Act of the will, not from your emotions, forgiveness is not a feeling.

“Father, You have forgave me, so I choose to forgive others and I also choose to forgive myself. Father, as You have forgiven me, I now, by faith, and as an act of my will, to the best of my ability, forgive all those who have wronged me and hurt me. I will no longer hold anything against them, but turn over to You all right of revenge and repayment in Jesus’ Name.”
